Changing the face of Open Days.
The School of Chemical Engineering & Advanced Materials at Newcastle University recognised the need to change the way they presented Chemical Engineering course information to potential new students at their open days.
Thumb worked closely with CEAM to understand the key messages and selling points of the course, school, University and the city. We decided the most convincing way to get the information across was to hear it from current students. We created bite size videos interspersed by animated infographics within a presentation delivered by current students.
The presentation is working really well for us. The way Thumb took what was quite dry information and created something so engaging and watchable was brilliant. The presentation is consistently delivered and has become an integral part of the Chemical Engineering Open Days at Newcastle University.”
