Plexus Gateway Visualisation.
Gateway to Durham Science Park.
Our friends at Full Blown Metals were commissioned to create an artistic sculpture to provide a gateway to the North East Technology Park in Sedgefield, County Durham.
Before the sculpture was made there was a need for a 3D model to be created of the 5.5m tall, 250kg Plexus structure to aid key decisions concerning size, shape, colour and position. Thumb produced realistic visuals of the futuristic sculpture within it’s proposed environment.
Having 3D visuals of the Plexus helped both me and the client understand the impact the sculpture would have on the entrance to the park. Seeing my other ideas for the sculpture realised in 3D helped me in deciding on this final design. Using Thumb Design’s 3D capabilities has aided me enormously in the work I do and will hopefully continue to do so in the future.”
